When it comes to building your own coils we always stress safety first. We know the allure of a huge cloud may tempt you to ignore ohms law but we believe that the reward is not worth the risk. Remember that the use of any electronic cigarette and/or vaping device is done at your own risk and a good understanding of battery safety and coil building is essential. We always suggest you use high quality batteries with high discharge and 30+ amps. We also recommend the use of an ohm meter to check your coil resistance before firing it on your mod. There are always new builds and wires to try and just general exploration in the realm of sub-ohming which is why we have compiled this list of things you should consider while building.

There are many different calculators online that use ohms law to help you calculate what resistance you can use on your battery, we suggest you try a few to see which app best suits your needs. Things that may affect the resistance of your coil are:
1. The properties of your wire. It is always good to know the basic properties of your wire and how it will affect your build.
2. The gauge of the wire.

3. The diameter of the coil, the amount of coils and the number of wraps each coil has.

4. The Style of the build will also have an effect on your resistance. parallel coils behave differently than twisted coils, etc.
5. The type of atomizer you have. Things like the pin materials and the design of the atomizer may affect your resistance. Please remember that if your battery cannot push out the amps required to power your atomizer the result can be catastrophic.There are many informative videos online that can teach you more on the subject.
